Custom chat text

Use formatting codes to add bold, italic, or scrambled text to your chat messages.

Getting started

Custom chat text is available with Legend, Titan, and ranks that include their perks.

Open the in-game chat.
Type a formatting code directly before the text you want to style. For example, &lHello! makes “Hello!” bold.
Send your message. Use &r before any text you want to return to normal.

Add weight to your text. The code uses a lowercase L.

Type &lGood game! to display Good game!

Give your text an italic style. The code uses a lowercase O.

Type &oGood game! to display Good game!

Make the following text appear as changing, scrambled characters.

Type &kHello to scramble “Hello”. Add &r before the rest of your message to make it readable again.

Clear the formatting for the text that follows.

Type &lGood game!&r See you next round. to display Good game! See you next round.

Place multiple codes before your text to combine effects. For example, &l&oGood game! combines bold and italic.

Use &r to end the formatting before continuing your message. Chat formatting uses the ampersand &; you do not need a slash command.
